How long does it take to have a shipping container delivered?

Once your order has been processed our logistics professional will contact you to schedule delivery. Generally, delivery can be expected within 5 to 7 days from when the order is placed. Our logistics professional will work with you to guide you through the process to avoid unexpected issues with delivery and delay. 

Can I pick out the container of my choice?

No. When our delivery driver picks up your container from the depot we take the “next off the stack”. Our delivery driver then will inspect the condition of the container to be sure it is consistent with the size and grade ordered.

Are shipping containers referred to by other names?

Yes, shipping containers are often referred to by different names such as; shipping “boxes”, freight containers, seaworthy or ocean containers, and cargo containers, Sea Cans, ISO containers, Conex containers (brand name of the original standard shipping container) to name a few.

What are shipping containers made of?

Shipping containers are made of a weathering steel, such as Cor-Ten, in order to resist corrosion from harsh weather. The exterior is made of corrugated steel to provide additional strength to the container. The floor is made of marine-grade plywood.

Can I buy a custom shipping container?

Unfortunately, Secure Space Containers does not offer any modifications or customization services at this time, however, we do work with trusted partners that may be able to handle specific request. Please call us at (330) 315-1192 for more information.
